Lisa had needed composite fillings in her front teeth about 3 years ago that had started to chip and stain prematurely.  Clearly the result was not a good one and Lisa was worried about showing her teeth to all around her.  We also felt that by the strategic addition of composite (white filling material) we could ‘straighten’ Lisa’s teeth and make them look more in proportion, providing added value rather than just replacing the fillings.

We also spoke to Lisa about:

• Veneers – which we advised her to stay away from given the increased cost (£650 per tooth) and the need to drill away some of the good tooth structure.
• Braces – which we thought was a good idea BUT how could Lisa make a decision on the need for a brace when her teeth looked how they did.
• Whitening- its a good idea to whiten your teeth prior to cosmetic treatment if you don’t like the colour of your teeth.

Lisa’s treatment went really well, and she was an excellent patient but in these cases it is difficult to prepare someone for the change it will make.  When we showed Lisa the huge change, she was stunned by the difference in her smile, enough so that she was speechless.

Thankfully Lisa loved the result, enough so that she was happy to contribute to our blog 😊

We love treatments like this as we have made a massive difference without compromising the health of people teeth at all.  The treatment is also reversible just in case she wants to have braces in the future or porcelain veneers.
