Gum disease usually leads to bone loss around the teeth and in certain individuals this can cause a lot of recession. The teeth look long and black triangles appear between the teeth. In certain cases the recession of the gums is so severe, and the options to restore the smile so aggressive, that a gingival veneer becomes a good idea. They are strangely easy to wear and can make a real difference to how things look. It’s definitely a last resort but a conservative one.
