What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants is basically a dental procedure that fixes a small titanium implant in the jaw bone to create a platform that allows the attachment of a denture or crown. Once fitted, the jawbone will bond with the implant and after anywhere from three to six months, the final parts of the treatment can be completed.

Dental implants are often used to replace missing teeth, they offer a very natural looking finish and are both secure and provide a permanent solution.

The majority of patients are ideal candidates for the treatment, as long as they are in good health and have enough bone for the dental implants to bond with. But even if you’re not able to have a dental implant, there are other alternatives.

That’s a quick summary of what a dental implant is, but if you would like to discuss or ask any further questions, please feel free to get in touch with us.
